Abstrak
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat keefektifan dari teknik pembelajaran model SQ3R (survey, question, read, recite and review) dalam meningkatkan keterampilan literasi mahasiswa PGSD FKIP UPY. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian quasi eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa PGSD FKIP UPY Angakatan 2014 dengan sampel sebanyak 75 mahasiswa. Penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen untuk membandingkan keefektifan model pembelajaraan SQ3R (search, question, read, recite and review) dan metode konvensional dalam pembelajaran mata kuliah penulisan karya ilmiah. Adapun teknik pengambilan sampel dengan teknik random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes essay untuk mengukur keterampilan literasi/ menulis. Untuk mengetahui validitas soal digunakan rumus korelasi product moment, sementara untuk reliabilitas soal menggunakan rumus Cronbach Alpha, uji prasyarat normalitas menggunakan Kolmogorov Smirnov Z dan homogenitas prestasi belajar menggunakan Levene. Teknik analisis data hasil belajar dan karakter digunakan independent sample t-test, sedangkan pada taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan secara signifikan terhadap penilaian keterampilan literasi mahasiswa pada mata kuliah penulisan karya ilmiah mahasiswa antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Dibuktikan dari hasil analisis independent sample t-test diperoleh thitung > ttabel (2,343 > 2,000). Dari perbandingan tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa kenaikan skor penilaian keterampilan literasi mata kuliah penulisan karya ilmiah kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dari pada kelas kontrol. Dengan kata lain bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran SQ3R lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan tipe konvensional.

Abstract
The purpose of this research is to know the effectiveness level of SQ3R model learning technique (survey, question, read, recite and review) in improving student literacy skill of PGSD FKIP UPY. The method used in this study is quantitative with the type of quasi experimental research. Population in this research is student of PGSD FKIP UPY Angakatan 2014 with sample counted 75 student. This study is a quasi experiment to compare the effectiveness of SQ3R learning model (search, question, read, recite and review) and conventional methods in learning subjects of writing scientific papers. The technique of sampling with random sampling technique. The data collection was done by essay test to measure literacy / writing skill. To know the validity of the problem used the product moment correlation formula, while for the reliability of the problem using the formula Cronbach Alpha, test the prerequisite normality using Kolmogorov Smirnov Z and homogeneity of learning achievement using Levene. Techniques of data analysis of learning outcomes and characters used independent sample t-test, while at a significance level of 0.05. The results of this study conclude that there are significant differences in the students 'literacy skill assessment in the students' scientific writing course between the experimental class and the control class. Evidenced from the analysis of independent sample t-test obtained t count> ttable (2.343> 2,000). From the comparison, it can be concluded that the increase of score of literacy skill assessment in the writing of experimental class is higher than the control class. In other words, the use of the SQ3R learning model is more effective than the conventional type.
